Employment with the Town of Greece is governed by the Civil Service law of the State of New York, under the jurisdiction of Monroe County Civil Service Commission. These laws require that the selection and promotion of employees be based on merit and fitness. There are different selection procedures based on how they have classified a position. Written examination, training, experience and review of an applicant's minimum qualifications are some methods that are used by the Monroe County Civil Service Commission to determine candidate's merit and fitness for a position.
The Monroe County Civil Service Commission is located at 39 West Main Street, Rochester, New York 14614 (www.monroecounty.gov).
